Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 29, 2026

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Hearing Test handles your information. By using the app, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. No Collection of Personal Data

**Hearing Test** does not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information. We do not require you to create an account or sign in. Your hearing results and all other data stay on your device.

2. Local Data Storage

The app stores the following data locally on your device only: - Your hearing test results and audiograms - Test history and trends over time - Your year of birth / age (used to estimate your hearing age) - Tinnitus matcher and masking settings - App preferences such as language and theme

3. No Microphone or Audio Recording

The hearing test works by playing calibrated tones through your headphones, to which you respond by tapping. The app does **not** record audio, does not access your microphone for recording, and does not transmit any sound from your environment.

4. Third-Party Services

We may use privacy-friendly analytics services to understand how the app is used and improve it. These services collect only anonymous, aggregated usage data and do not identify you. Purchases are processed through your app store and a purchase-management service (RevenueCat), which receive an anonymous identifier and purchase receipt but no personal information.

5. Medical Disclaimer

**Hearing Test is not a medical device and does not provide a medical diagnosis.** Results are for general informational and educational purposes only and depend on your headphones, device, and surroundings. They are not a substitute for a professional hearing evaluation by a qualified audiologist or physician. If you have concerns about your hearing, please consult a healthcare professional.

6. Data Security

Because all data is stored locally on your device and we do not collect personal information, privacy risk is minimal. The app relies on your device's built-in security features to protect any locally stored content.

7. Children's Privacy

Hearing Test is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

8. App Store Purchases and Ratings

When you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is handled entirely by your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We do not collect or store any payment information. Purchase records are managed by the app store and can be restored if you reinstall the app or use it on another device. If you choose to rate or review the app, that information is submitted to the app store, not to us directly, and is governed by the app store's privacy policy.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the updated policy available within the app or on our website. Continued use of the app after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
